Mitchell Harle is a 2018 C with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Kent, WA who attends Kentwood HS. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects for additional strength. Primary catcher with a low, athletic stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working out of crouched with fundamental footwork. Clean glove circle and exchange prior to releasing from a high three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced some carry to the bag with accuracy. Right handed hitter with an open stance. Stays on back side throughout with rotational lower half actions to contact. Simple, repeatable swing plane and utilized a line drive approach. Flashed the hand skill and barrel control to manipulate bat head and works to all fields when balanced. Good student as well.
