Tripp Achord is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Savannah, GA who attends Islands. Medium build, athletic frame with some present strength to lower half and plenty of projectability moving forward. Only pitched at the event, righthanded pitcher, works exclusively from stretch, high leg lift with a low hand separation, quick take back to a longer loose arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, developing arm strength and arm speed at this time, leads with hip down the mound but could get more back leg drive for added velocity, stays online downhill, arm drags at times causing ball to be left up in zone but when arm is on time through circle command is good, gets out over front foot well with a clean follow through. Fastball showed varying action to armside and occasional sink, showed some effort at release, mixed in a curveball with some developing still to do but showed potential when fastball arm speed was maintained. Good student.
