Jaren Warwick is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from New Caney, TX who attends New Caney HS. Tall and slender athletic build, has some wiry present strength with plenty of room for more. Long and whippy arm action on the mound from a high leg lift delivery, hides the ball well and has some deception for hitters, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with good arm side life. Slider was his best pitch, hard and sharp and late with some two-plane depth, going to keep getting lots of swing and miss on this pitch. 7.14 runner, showed good athleticism coming through the ball in the outfield, arm action not as smooth out there as on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall and open stance with a loose swing and some barrel whip, creates good bat speed and can drive the gaps, solid hitting tools. Good student. Named to the 2018 National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List.
