Rosario is a slender 6-1 right hander with some natural quickness and whip in his arm. He throws 82-85 mph with no help at all from his lower half and a drifting, open delivery which doesn’t help him much either. If someone could get Rosario directional to the plate and better balanced, we think you’d see an immediate big jump in his raw stuff. Rosario’s mechanics leave him little chance to generate much spin on his curveball, but he does throw a 71 mph change up that has nice deception and running action to it. This kid has a chance to be a good pro pitcher down the road.
