Sam Kennedy is a 2019 1B/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Roosevelt. Medium build with beginnings of strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 7.11 sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while centering the baseball. Displayed developing fluidity while funneling the baseball and working through exchange. Flashed good foot quickness while pivoting to second base for double play. Throws generated occasional carry across the infield topping at 72 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Strides back to an even set and employed rotational actions to contact. Loose hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Looked to connect with baseball out front and created some leverage to the gaps when on time and squared. Showed developing feel for the barrel with the ability to created tight back spin off the barrel.
