Austin Treptow is a 2019 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Klein HS. Medium athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. 7.01 runner, showed his speed well on the bases. Aggressive going to the ball in the outfield and will get out of control, showed good arm strength with a full long arm stroke, makes accurate throws, also played the infield. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a limited stride and shift, upper body swing, simple middle of the field line drive approach, bat speed will increase with more lower half use. Also pitched, full hands over head delivery with good flow to his delivery. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, tends to lose velocity from the stretch, showed good spin and shape on his curveball from the wind up as well. Some feel for a change up. Good student.
