Shawn McNiff is a 2022 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Manasquan, NJ who attends Marlboro. Recorded a 4.92 second forty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with good size, athletic movements, and a twitchy body, fields the ball out front with good glove actions, a quick transfer, and a smooth release showcasing throwing accuracy across the diamond at a recorded 79 mph. Secondary right handed pitcher has a full wind up with a high leg kick and good lateral move to the plate with a three-quarter arm slot as he falls down the slope with a fastball topping 78 mph. He mixes in a good breaking ball with 11-5 action out of the same arm slot as fastball. The switch hitter stepped into the box from the left side hitting with a wide and even stance, high hands, a high back elbow, a short stride, quick hands, and good bat to ball skills as he works the ball middle to opposite field approach. McNiff steps into the right side of the plate with the same even and wide stance, high hands, and a high back elbow. He has a short stride working the ball middle to opposite approach. Good student.
