Jonathan Burton is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-5 250 lb. frame from Royse City, TX who attends Royse City HS. Extra big and strong football lineman type of build. Long and loose arm action from a high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, works quickly and repeats his delivery well. Steady upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, maintained his velocity very well, has the ability to work his fastball from side to side and throw to spots. Change up was his best off speed pitch, good feel for it with arm speed and plenty of sink. Short curveball with occasional 11/5 shape to it. Kept pounding the strike zone and getting outs the entire outing. Good student.
