Kolson Hale is a 2020 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Sulphur Springs, TX who attends Sulphur Springs HS. Compact square shouldered build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with an upper body rotational swing, gets some lower half shift into contact, line drive swing plane with good barrel skills, pull to mid field approach, took some good game swings and showed his strength. 7.60 runner, second base tools defensively, gets behind the ball well and fields it cleanly, developing arm strength. Also pitched, compact delivery with a short arm circle, good direction to the plate, some energy at release. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, mostly straight. Curveball was his best pitch and was thrown with feel and confidence with 11/5 shape. Threw strikes and had a quick and efficient inning. Good student.
