Carson Richardson is a 2020 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Collinsville, IL who attends Collinsville HS. Tall and slender build, lots of physical projection. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a still hand start, uses his lower half aggressively to start his swing, level line drive swing plane, swings hard and has good feel for the barrel, pull side to mid field contact, projects well as a hitter given his size and present tools. Solid third base tools on defense, has a loose arm and makes accurate throws, good one step athleticism and balance, can improve lower half quickness moving forward. Also pitched, big hand drop delivery, medium length arm circle, 3/4/s to mid 3/4/s arm slot. Steady low 80's fastball, gets consistent and sometimes big running action on his sinking fastball, primary fastball pitcher, rare slider. Good student.
