Solomon Casarez is a 2020 SS/2B with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends Millikan. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Ran a 7.50 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with high energy footwork while surrounding and ranging for the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchanged well. Moved to the baseball well and flashed ability to throw with accuracy while on the run. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and toe tap trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, level path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Consistently looked to the middle of the field but flashed some feel to pull side as well. Excellent student.
