Brandon Hurt is a 2020 MIF/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Gaithersburg, MD who attends Georgetown Preparatory. Medium and young frame, room to fill and time to fill out physically. Ran a 5.22 second 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, sits back on ball coming through with short and choppy steps to the ball, low fielding position, good balance especially up the middle, hands are mostly still developing, developing arm strength as well with a second base profile. Righthanded hitter, very wide base with a deep lower half, high hand set with a high back elbow, long stride into contact that should shorten up for better balance, should add in a weight shift from lower half for added bat speed and pop off of the barrel, good barrel control just needs to get stronger, repeats mechanics well but swing needs some fine tuning and the final product could be impressive. Good student.
