Colin Dutton is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Glassboro, NJ who attends Gloucester County Institute of Technology. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill out moving forward. Ran a 5.11 40-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, short side step moving into a high leg lift; tight and full arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Good tempo throughout delivery, stays compact and incorporates lower half well with some drop and drive down the mound. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, able to work in on hitters with comfort and shows sound command, fastball gets on hitters quickly. Pitched to contact and flashed both a curveball and changeup for strikes. Takes short and quick steps moving towards the ball in the outfield, fields the ball out front with two hands, full arm action through the back and shows nice carry when on top of throws. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; high leg lift trigger for timing with longer stride moving into contact. Will occasionally get mistimed with stride but shows whip to the barrel through the zone. Creates contact out front with extension and finds the barrel well, comes off the barrel well to pull side.
