Tommy Spero is a 2017 3B/SS with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Larchmont, NY who attends Mamaroneck. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, take short steps moving towards the ball and shows range, fields the ball out front and funnels well, clean transfer with deliberate tempo, compact three-quarters arm slot and shows carry and arm strength across. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set at the plate. Utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing, shows an easy and repeatable swing in the box. Short and compact stroke, generates bat speed and shows lift out front with strength to pull gap. Can turn on inner half pitch but also shows ability to go to opposite field.
