Brentan Newberry is a 2020 OF/SS with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Lambert. Medium and lean frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.81 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves to the baseball with active footwork and an efficient lower half, athleticism present in his movements, works through the ball with a compact arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, has plenty of carry to his throws up to 86 mph from the outfield. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an open stance, takes a small stride into contact, creates a linear and line drive swing plane, has bat speed, middle to pull side approach. Great student. Named to 2019 Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
