Kent Williams is a 2018 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Mt. Carmel. Large frame with highly athletic, slender present build; good athleticism throughout. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.71 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, medium-length arm stroke through the back, good balance throughout delivery, does a solid job finishing over front side. Fastball worked 66-68 mph with solid arm side life; good job of throwing strikes consistently. Worked in both a curveball and changeup with solid feel for both. Sets up to hit from very upright and open-based stance, rotational in lower half, compact hand path onto line drive swing plane, showed good approach to middle of the field. Worked out in the outfield and at 1st base, showed solid footwork in both spots. Arm strength in OF clocked up to 69 mph; threw 64 across the diamond from first base. Good student.
