Jonathan Acosta is a 2018 RHP/ with a 5-11 197 lb. frame from Fpo, Sel who attends nile c kinnick high school. Medium frame with present physicality on the build as well as strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a balanced leg lift and good lower half drive down the mound. Threw from a three-quarter arm slot and created good arm side run on his fastball. Worked to both sides of the plate and not afraid to work over the inside to righthanded hitters. Curveball showed 10/4 shape with pretty solid spin. Similar arm action on the offspeed pitches. Righthanded hitter with quiet hands and a direct path to contact. Worked well over to the pull side on a line drive swing plane. Flashed good bat speed out in front of the plate and was able to drive the ball well to all fields. Big leg lift trigger into contact. Good student.
