Freddie March is a 2018 C/1B, with a 6-0 192 lb. frame from Itasca, IL who attends Lake Park HS. Large frame with solid present build; good strength throughout body with projection remaining as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.80 seconds. Sets up to hit with very low hand set, touches front knee with hands in load, creates separation, does a good job getting on plane with hands and flashes strength off the barrel to the pull field when on time. Worked out defensively in two spots. Primary catcher, receives well out front and does a very good job exploding out of crouch, shows quality footwork with balance throughout actions, good accuracy on throws down to 2nd base. Also worked some at 1st base, fields cleanly out front and does a fair job of pivoting on throws to 2nd base, winds up deep and showed a 71 mph arm across the diamond. Good student.
