Anthony Pires is a 2019 C/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Yonkers, NY who attends Archbishop Stepinac. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.68 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance with hands wrapped behind head in load, gets barrel going, shows bat speed, line drive swing plane through the zone, good extension out front, showed ability to work to all fields. Worked out behind the plate, good set, explodes out of crouch on time with game actions, footwork stays balanced, quick transfer with quickness to release, popped 2.26 seconds. Very good student.
