Nikolas Molina is a 2019 3B/OF with a 5-7 180 lb. frame from Downey, CA who attends St. John Bosco. Medium frame with a solid build. Primary third baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while traveling to and surrounding the baseball. Developing glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Released from a three-quarters arm slot generating softer, on line carry to the bag topping at 71 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, narrow stance and high back elbow set. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct, simple hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed good bat speed with strength at contact when turning the barrel to contact. Primarily worked between the gaps but showed the hand speed to work to pull side as well. Good student.
