Drew Sutton is a 2020 MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Wentzville, MO who attends Wentzville Holt. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright straight stance with a high hand load, quiet and simple load, gets very good lower half turn in his swing to drive his bat speed, short and compact line drive swing, stays balanced and hits through the ball well, ball comes off the barrel hard and loud, mid field to pull side contact, has the tools to continue to progress as a hitter as he gets stronger. 7.44 runner, moves to the ball well with balanced athletic actions, soft hands out front, makes accurate throws, sound fundamental fielder. Also pitched, side step delivery, gets on line well to the plate, 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics very well and really fills up the strike zone. Consistent upper 70's fastball and works his fastball to spots with intent in and out. Soft curveball. Good student.
