Jonathan DuPlessis is a 2020 3B/RHP/IF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Floyd Kellam HS. Tall frame with a slender build. Broad shoulders and long limbs. Ran a 7.25 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary third baseman. Plays high on the ball and fields out front. Has a clean transfer and a quick release. Average arm strength with developing carry. Throws topped out at 76 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a straight and narrow stance. Starts with a low hand set. Short and direct path to the ball. Able to find the barrel on a consistent basis. Middle of the field approach but has the ability to hit to all parts of the field as well. Righthanded hitter with a simple side step delivery. Gets some hip coil at the gather. High effort release with a short arm action. Keeps the fastball down around the knees with good command. Sat in the mid 70's and topped out at 77 miles per hour. Good student as well.
