Sam Davis is a 2023 RHP/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Robins, IA who attends John F Kennedy. He has a medium frame with an athletic build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.32 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that works quickly on the mound. He has a knee to belt leg kick out of the windup and uses a slide step delivery when in the stretch. He uses a medium arm action and throws from a 3/4 slot. He has a quick arm and a big head whack at release. He lands closed off and throws across his body. His fastball is straight and he throws a firm changeup off it. His curveball has loose spin and 11-5 shape. Secondary outfielder that fields the ball deep and off to the side. He guides the ball in with two hands and uses a short and compact arm action. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even stance with high hands and a high back elbow. He uses a toe tap trigger and glides into his swing. He does an ice job of staying on balance throughout the process. He has an uphill bat path and looks to elevate the ball. Excellent student.
