Donald Whalen is a 2023 3B/RHP, 1B with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Lindenhurst, NY who attends Lindenhurst Senior. Medium frame with mature build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.23 seconds. Hits from wide stance with high hand set and high back elbow, toe tap trigger, rotational lower half, does good job getting on plane, solid bat speed with notable power to the pull-side, consistent BP round with good results throughout the event offensively. Worked out in the infield, showed well to backhand with hands and feet, hands work well out front as well, quick release with ability to throw from multiple angles, clocked up to 75 mph across. Also pitched, full arm stroke with looseness, fastball worked 77-79 mph with low spin and good arm side run, can sink it some, mixed in slow curveball at times. Good student.
