Colin Richey is a 2019 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Aurora, CO who attends Smoky Hill. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Primary shortstop with athletic footwork while rounding the baseball. Showed aggressive actions while ranging to each side with clean glove actions while working through back hand. Primarily released form a low three-quarters arm slot creating accurate carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple front side trigger. Creates slight coil at load before launching to contact on a compact, direct path with a level plane through extension. Primarily looked to turn the barrel to contact and work to pull side aggressively. Tools will continue to develop with repetition and fluidity.
