Joey Tantillo is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 5-10 168 lb. frame from Mamaroneck, NY who attends Mamaroneck. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; good projection remaining. Righthanded pitcher; pitches exclusively from the stretch, uptempo delivery with good repeatability. Strike-thrower, fastball worked 69-72 mph with arm side life, consistently commanded the pitch to the knees and both sides of the plate. Liked to throw curveball, thrown with 11/5 shape and good depth. Also mixed in changeup with good arm side fade. Effective at pitching backwards with good sequencing; successful at pounding the zone and keeping hitters off balance. Good student.
