Owen Farris is a 2023 C/IF/OF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Missouri City, TX who attends Ridge Point. Young slender build with lots of physical projectability. 7.58 runner, has athletic actions behind the plate defensively with a live lower half, sets up low and flexible and comes out of his crouch well, showed some arm strength for his age and size, smooth overall actions and will keep improving as he physically matures. Also played the outfield and infield, with better infield actions and overall athleticism. Right handed hitter, turns in his front shoulder to load, rotational swing with some length, has some hand quickness but body load can leave him late, middle of the field contact. Good student.
