Jayson Olaes is a 2020 2B/OF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Lemoore, CA who attends Lemoore. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects for additional strength with continued physical maturity. Primary second baseman with clean footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Works through baseball well with fluid, quick exchanges. Released from a smooth arm stroke generating on line, accurate carry across the infield topping at 71 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and high back elbow set. Utilized a simple leg lift trigger while working to contact with rotational lower half actions. Direct hand path to baseball with an uphill plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field, but showed the balance and barrel skills to work the other way as well. Good student.
