Raymond Perez is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Chino, CA who attends Bishop Amat. Medium and slender frame with lots of room for physical development ahead of him. Ran an 8.22 second 60 yard dash. The primary left handed pitcher has a short step into a low leg lift, is well-balanced over his back leg, and rides the slope very well with a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball has late life at the end with good command of the zone. Mixes in a 11–5 breaking ball with good energy. Left-handed hitter with a slightly open stance, has high hands, is short and quick to the ball, pulls his hands in well, and works the ball pull side with good bat speed and barrel control. Secondary first baseman has a quick first step with a smooth glove, quick release, and exhibits accurate throws into the base. Taking fly balls in the outfield show fundamentally sound glove work and footwork with a quick release and a good line to the bases. Great student.
