Logan Hopfinger is a 2021 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Waterloo, IL who attends Waterloo. Nice athletic build with good length and plenty of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a tall set up, aggressive swing approach and develops good bat speed and gets some jump off the barrel when he's squared up, projects well as a hitter as he fills out and adds strength. 7.23 runner, arm is loose and easy with good carry on his throws, can improve his glove position fielding to quicken his release. Also pitched, has a quick arm from a high 3/4's arm slot, easy low tension delivery. Steady low 80's fastball gets on hitters well, mostly straight. Showed a nice tight slider with good power and took off it a few times for a curveball effect. Change is still a bit firm. Threw strikes and had an idea what he was doing on the mound. Good student.
