2023 Fall Atlantic Coast Workout Showcase
Michael Clemente is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-7 215 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Cuthbertson. Extra-large frame with imposing presence on the mound. Well developed from a strength standpoint and plenty of time to add further physicality. RHP working from the full windup on the 1B side of the rubber using small side step in front of rubber before transitioning to tall posture at balance. Slight torso tilt towards 1B before transition down the mound. Breaks hands high at the chest and works into a very deep inline arm path and accelerates through an over-the-top arm angle. Leverages the ball downhill nicely, good mover overall and repeats release point regularly. FB up to 89 mph several times and sitting in the upper-80s with heavy life in the zone, especially when down. Two distinct breaking balls, both quality offerings. Slider with more horizontal shape and higher spin traits in the mid-70s. Curveball in the low-70s with tight spin and late bite. Also showed a workable changeup with contact deadening spin and sinking action. Stayed on the plate and generated swing/miss. Elite in the classroom too.
