Nick Bouillerce is a 2018 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Livermore, CA who attends Granada. Medium frame with a lean build and wiry strength. Frame projects for additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a simple rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall and balanced on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Tends to land at a slightly closed position on front side generating some cross fire at release. Medium arm circle at take back and released from a loose three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly with some running action to arm side in mid to upper 70's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Curveball had 2/8 shape with loose spin and sweep to glove side. Maintained arm speed well with changeup offering that had some fade to arm side in the low 70's. Flashed good feel for each off speed pitches and consistently worked down in the strike zone. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and high back elbow set. Creates some shift into contact with linear lower half actions. Direct hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Swung with intent and showed the barrel feel to work to all fields when on time and balanced. Good student as well.
