Elian Balmaceda is a 2021 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Falls. Ran a 7.47-second sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with a young frame and present strength in the lower half. Has some arm speed in the outfield, making accurate throws with good carry to the bag at 86 miles per hour. Has some athletic and quick-twitch to the actions, showcasing clean footwork and good glove actions through the fielding process. Funnels the ball in well and maintains momentum into the throws. Left-handed hitter that starts from an upright and open stance, with a rotational lower half and simple leg lift trigger. Has developing feel for the barrel, showcasing a line drive barrel plane with a middle of the field to pull-side approach. Secondary left-handed pitcher with a simple operation from the windup, starting with a simple side step and staying on the back side well. Has some deception with a loose arm action from a three-quarter slot, filling the zone with the fastball at 79-83 miles per hour. Shows a changeup with similar arm action and late-fading action at 70 miles per hour. Also shows a curveball with 1-7 shape and good depth in the mid-60s. Good student.
