Hezekiah Rodriguez is a 2026 SS/RHP, 1B, OF with a 5-11 148 lb. frame from Southlake, TX who attends Southlake Carroll. Medium, square shouldered frame with long limbs and a lean build, has room to grow and develop. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front and works through the ball some with lower half, works with a side arm release on throws but shows some carry across the diamond, young footwork, controls body well and showed balance on the charge. Takes short steps to the ball from the outfield, fields the ball out front, tends to get uphill with release point, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release. Right-handed hitter, begins with hands closer to body, works inside the ball with them in swing. Employs a patient approach, has some quickness and can implement further extension in swing, higher finish through the point of contact, has some looseness to wrists in swing. Excellent student.
