Kevin Taylor is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Thousand Oaks, CA who attends Westlake. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Ran a 6.92 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, clean footwork while rounding the baseball. Stays low while funneling out front and worked through exchange very quickly. Generated good momentum to the bag and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced accurate carry across the infield topping at 76 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Shifts into contact with linear lower half actions. Smooth, fluid line drive swing plane and showed the bat speed to turn barrel head to contact and work to pull gap. Primarily worked to the middle of the field, but flashed the barrel control to work the other way as well. Excellent student.
