Caden McClure is a 2019 RHP/C/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Bixby, OK who attends Holland Hall HS. Medium athletic build with a strong lower half. High 3/4's delivery with an on line delivery and sound overall mechanics, good balance and athletic flexibility, good extension and gets downhill well. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, heavy action at the plate, challenges hitters early in the count and throws strikes. Threw both a curveball and a slider from the same slot, curveball has good tightness at times with 11/5 depth, slider is shorter and sharper, slider is the better pitch at present and is used as his strike out pitch. Has good composure on the mound and an idea what he's doing. 7.43 runner, third base is his best position defensively, very good arm strength across the diamond. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance, stays on his back side and has an uphill swing approach, looks to pull and lift the ball and showed some power potential. Solid all around athlete with a good arm. Excellent student.
