Zachary Hayes is a 2020 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from St Marys, GA who attends Camden County HS. Slender young build. Throws from a high 3/4's arm slot with a loose arm coming through and good extension out front, hides the ball well in back, has some crossfire action at release and creates angle to the plate, low effort and repeatable mechanics. Low 70's fastball, topped out at 73 mph, gets good running life at times. Curveball has a good release and flashed some 1/7 depth. Skills are in place to keep improving as he adds strength. Showed good athleticism and fundamentals in the outfield, makes on line throws with good carry. Good student.
