Aidan Steele is a 2022 2B/C, 3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Visalia, CA who attends El Diamante. Medium build with room to still grow as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, fields out in front, shows some softness to his backhand side. Has an ability to make accurate throws across the diamond from multiple slots. From behind the plate, sets up in a conventional stance and shows some quickness out of it. Replaces feet well, receives the ball cleanly. Posted a 2.18 second pop time down to the second base bag in the catching workouts. At the plate, uses a narrow and upright stance with inverted knees. Leg kick trigger, creates some good tension between his upper and lower half. Backside collapses slightly at launch, slightly elevated barrel plane through the zone. At his best when working through the middle of the field, excellent student in the classroom as well.
