Joe Breslin is a 2022 3B/RHP, C, OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Encinitas, CA who attends San Dieguito High Academy. Strong frame with an athletic build and room to continue to add in the future. Ran a 7.62 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary third baseman. Sits on the ball with a deliberate pace to footwork when rounding the baseball. Exchanges are quick with accurate carry to the bag on throws topping out at 73 miles per hour. Able to run through the ball well while funneling to the side and throwing from a three-quarters slot. Lefthanded hitter with a rotational shift into contact. Sets up in an upright and narrow stance with a short stride for timing. Line drive bat path, flashing some gap-to-gap power and a pull side approach. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a small side step delivery into a medium leg lift. Utilizes some drop and drive actions while staying tall on the back side. Works to the plate while staying in line down the mound. Loose arm circle, releasing from a three-quarters arm slot. Developing 11-to-5 curveball with some depth. Looks to fill the zone and work towards weak contact. Very good student as well.
