Alec Morrison is a 2020 SS/C, 2B with a 5-4 135 lb. frame from Malibu, CA who attends Malibu. Morrison has a young look with a lean build. Defensively he stays low working to the baseball and plays through it well. He has a quick transfer and release with accurate throws. Morrison has smooth actions on the infield with smooth feet and athleticism. He also worked out from behind the plate and showed some receiving skills with some catch and throw skills. At the plate Morrison stats with an upright square stance with a high back elbow. He uses a simple leg lift trigger to start his swing and has a rotational lower half. Morrison has an inside out path and swings with a deep arm bar. He made contact to the middle of the field to the opposite field gap and has a naturally lifted plane through extension. Morrison found the barrel and repeats his swing. Excellent student.
