Nelson Davis is a 2019 OF/ with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Bellaire. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; body projects well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Switch-hitter, sets up from left side with narrow-based stance and hand waggle into load. Has smoothness and quickness to hands, good bat speed with ability to get the barrel out, showed consistent barrel skills, squared up the ball firmly with good pull side pop. Shows solid bat speed from the right side as well, gets on line drive swing plane, showed solid pop to the pull field. Has tools from both sides. Worked out in the outfield, comes in on the ball well and does a good job working through it, throws from quick, compact arm stroke with solid arm strength, throws clocked up to 80 mph. Good student.
