Austin Spinks is a 2022 C/RHP, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Tallahssee, FL who attends Lincoln. Medium slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary catcher, set up in a higher crouch, is meticulous with his transfer and mechanics. Shorter arm action, gains ground n his throws down to the second base bag. Posted a 2.16 second pop time in the catching workouts. On the mound has a shorter arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Methodical delivery with a high leg kick and good direction down the hill. Fastball up to 76 mph. From the outfield, works hard to and through the baseball. Clean and meticulous fielding mechanics, makes accurate throws to all bags with some carry. At the plate, uses an upright and open stance with simple stride trigger. Middle to pull side approach, steep path through the zone, hands work well when on time. Good student in the classroom as well.
