Jonah Katsaboulas is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Brandon, MS who attends Brandon. Lean frame with an athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary shortstop with clean footwork while rounding and surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange quickly. Showed good range while moving to the baseball to each side. Primarily released from a three-quarters slot but flashed the ability to throw from multiple arm angles with accuracy, topped at 82 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Compact, direct hand path to baseball with a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Looked to stay behind the baseball at contact and utilize a gap to gap approach. Flashed solid jump off the barrel with carry when on time and squared. Good student as well.
