2019 PG Florida Top Prospect Games at Miami
Mikel Cuvet is a 2020 OF/LHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Fort Lauderdale, FL who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Tall with long limbs and uber projectable as he fills out. A primary outfielder took short and controlled steps approaching the ball. Fields and shuffles to release, very good raw arm strength, 89 in drills. Throws had some tail but were accurate to the bases. Long legs with athleticism that will cut balls in the gaps. The left-handed hitter mixed a hover and toe tap to help timing, very good hand speed, hips are quick and he turns well. Shows ability to elevate and came off hard when extended out front. Good 2-way prospect as he has been up to 89 on the mound. Extremely good student.
