Caleb Beach is a 2019 SS/RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Shedd, OR who attends Central Linn HS. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.66 seconds. Switch-hitter, sets up from right side with narrow-based stance. Rotational upper-half swing, gets on line drive plane and shows up the middle approach. Open/wider-based from left side, shows quick hands from left side with inside-out swing approach. Worked out defensively in the infield, fields well out front and does a good job moving to both sides, made accurate throws with consistency across the diamond, clocked up to 72 MPH. Pitched as well, throws from three quarters arm slot with long arm action, fastball worked 71-74 MPH with good arm side run. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth; did a good job of throwing strikes with both pitches. Very good student.
