Nicolas Fuentes is a 2019 C/UT with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with more to come. Has nice and smooth lower half actions behind the plate, lots of one step lower half quickness and balance, makes accurate throws and gets his feet in good position to block and throw, release and arm stroke can be shortened, 2.07 best pop time. Right handed hitter, tall and narrow stance at the plate, limited shift and lower half use, has the lower half strength and coordination to use it, rotational swing, quick and short to the ball with pull to mid field contact, swings hard, can improve bat speed with more lower half use but flashes it at times. Good student.
