Jordan Daniels is a 2018 C/ with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Paloma Valley. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build and beginnings of present strength. Projects for additional strength. Primary catcher with a low set and good hip flexion while setting up to receive. Extended transfer and arm stroke. Creates good downhill angle at release that produced accurate, on line carry to the bag. Lower half explodes while driving out of crouch to the bag. Topped at 73 miles per hour to the bag with a best workout pop time of 2.07. Right handed hitter with a spread, crouched stance and compact hand set. Hands launch on a compact, direct line drive path to contact and generates some leverage through extension with pitches located down in the strike zone. Primarily employed a mid-field approach, but showed the hand and barrel skills to work the baseball to the opposite side of the field as well. Very good student as well.
