Druw Sowell is a 2020 OF/MIF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Arroyo Grande, CA who attends Arroyo Grande. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.10 seconds. Hits from spread, open-based stance with relaxed set, shows ability to get the barrel out and drive the ball into pull gap, also can work back through the middle and the other way, linear plane with some hand speed, has power projection. Worked out in the outfield, comes in on the ball well and shows athleticism, smoothness to footwork, fields clean out front and works through into transfer, clocked up to 78 mph on throws back to the infield. Very good student.
