Gavin Lee is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 5-8 156 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends The Bishop's. Compact build with present strength. Ran a 7.59 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed athletic actions working around and through the baseball in the infield with quicker footwork. Showed confident glove actions including a clean backhand. Displayed good range working to both sides of the infield. Flashed good arm strength with accurate carry across the diamond topping out at 75 MPH to first base. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a heel lift load. Showed a quick, compact barrel path to the baseball with good barrel speed. Displayed a rotational lower half with a line drive plane through the zone creating consistently driven line drives to all fields. Showed the ability to create gap to gap pop when on time and squared. Also pitched at the event. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and staying online through finish. Showed a longer, stiffer arm action going to a mid three-quarter arm slot at release with developing arm speed. Displayed a fastball with good control to both sides of the plate up to 76 MPH complemented with a 12/6 curveball with good depth creating some swing and miss at 66 MPH.
