Jarod Roblin is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Princeton. Large frame with a strong, athletic build and broad shoulders. Projects for additional strength with continued maturity. Ran a 7.00 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with clean, athletic actions while closing to and working through the baseball. Fluid glove actions and exchanges while working through transition. Creates a long arm circle back at separation and releases from a three-quarters slot, topped at 79 mph. Throws produced some uphill carry to the bag with accuracy. Right handed hitter with a tall, straight stance and high back elbow set. Creates coil and slight wrap at load producing torque in swing. Hands launch on an inside path to contact with a slightly downhill plane. Flashed bat speed with a mid-field to opposite field approach. Has the ability to turn barrel to contact at times generating loud contact to the pull side gap. Also pitched showing a short rock step and leg kick delivery. Has a slightly crouched position at balanced point, but stays tall on backside effectively keeping weight back. Strides to arm side creating a slightly close landing position causing a crossfire arm action at times. Primarily releases from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Produces good extension out front at finish with balance. Has good command of fastball to the edges topping at 74 mph. Maintained arm speed well with curveball offering. Curveball has 9/4 shape with softer break and early depth. Solid two way prospect that will continue to improve with physical development and repetition.
